    Ok. Stop. Wow. Go!

After a planned trip to another sushi spot for a roommate's  birthday on a Monday( you'll learn most are closed on Mondays around the east bay) this place was trending as hot and new on yelp.

Did not disappoint. It was beyond delicious and fresh. I'll get to that in a minute, but the real winner was Crystal, the wife of the owner. She was AMAZING.  I was confused by previous reviews about the service. But the service was incredible. And I should note it was packed at 7 pm! She was beyond the sweetest. Even brought out a free dessert, the snowflake, which was this berry filled ice dessert. It's hard to explain, but think shaved ice, yet even thinner and softer.

Sushi- we had 5 rolls thinking the 3 of us would take some home. Nope. So good we ate them all. Fresh. We had the white blossom ( least favorite of group, yet are it all), the up n smoke, lobster madness, paradise, and the Hawaii. Literally in order of least to favorite!

    Peach sake. Super sweet.

    Clean. Friendly. Go!

Well I have been going to this place for about 20 years. Tonight was my last visit. I am fuming after a terrible experience with a terrible waitress. Worst service EVER!!! We are usually fairly understanding when things go wrong and the place is busy because my husband works in the restaurant industry.
So the restaurant was definitely busy when we went in. After a table was cleared and we sat down we waited a bit and yhe red haired waitress came over. Shr was incredibly rude, and was also terrible at her job. She didn't greet us, she just took our order. Didnt really ask about drinks, never smiled. She seemed very put out by having to take our order actually. She took a very long time to bring our drinks over and then left so quickly that we didn't have straws or time to ask for some and we have two small kids who both got cups with lids that require straws to drink out of.
I got up to get the straws because nobody ever came to check on us. I also got up to ask about a high chair because even though we said we needed one we never got one. Each time I got up and stood by the register I was ignored for a good 5 minutes before being helped. It was also never our waitress that helped, but the other waitress.
Our waitress was so inattentive that she never checked on our table, never filled our drinks, never noticed we sat and sat with no food....
After awhile we noticed that other people around us, who sat down after us, seemed to be finishing up. Then we realized we had been waiting for at least 45 minutes. So, I got up again and after another 5 minute wait I was finally acknowledged and I asked them to check on our food. At first they couldn't find our order, then they found it as a to-go order... which is weird because we were sitting down when we ordered... so they gave us our food in the to go containers. Then when we were finishing up they refilled our drinks for the first time.
As an apology they did offer us a coupon for 15% off our next order... which I really felt was a slap in the face because they didnt do anything to make this visit ok... and they are making it so we have to come back and endure this terrible service all over again. No thank you! The coupon even said Customer Appreciation on it
Anyway, the food was good and we had fun playing with our kids and the people at the table next to us were really sweet! We bonded over both of our orders being lost.  Our kids talked and gave each other a hug before leaving. So that was fun!
We laughed when we left. This was our first visit to the new location and it seemed like an entirely different restaurant.

**This review is solely based on the service we received. The food was yummy.**

Our family have been loyal customers at ILT for years. We were so excited when they reopened and made dinner there part of family night out. Dinner and a movie.

Seriously, they shouldn't have opened if they weren't ready for customers. First, they close from 3:30-5...even on weekends, but their yelp page says they're open all day on Saturday and Sunday. We showed up early and waited for them to open. We were one of the first tables seated when they opened. I ASKED if they would have time to serve us before our movie started. They assured me they would. They were wrong. We waited over an hour for food and they forgot our son's meal. We asked multiple when his food would arrive, and they kept telling us it was in the kitchen and coming out "soon". Meanwhile, carry-out orders were heading out the door quickly...but the customers who decided to actually eat AT the restaurant weren't so lucky. We saw multiple people leave and heard several people complaining about service. I'm sure the staff was stressed, but no one handled it well. The overall atmosphere was just uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and tense. Our kids were hungry, and our son's food still hadn't been served after an hour and a half, so I had to leave the restaurant and get a refund for our movie tickets and buy tickets for a different time. (The customer service at Brenden Theaters was fantastic, btw.) Terrible experience overall. In the end, they never served our son his meal, so we finally asked for it to be removed from the check. We paid and went home to get some food for our son. I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. Worst dining experience we've had in a long time.

I Love Teriyaki & Sushi relocated across the street from Brenden taking over Bangkok Kitchen old location.

The new location is better. They got two big screen TVs attach to their wall. The bar is bigger and lot more tables.

The food has not change...better than ever. Service is the same. Same people but a better bigger location.

    I will come again

Still great food, but service sucked today, waited 30 mins till someone came to take our order. Since they expanded I think they are trying to figure out their flow, which is understandable. I just hope it's not like this in the future. I will keep you posted.
